About Us

My experience in this industry goes back to 2005. I apprenticed with Custom Yacht Canvas in Ft Lauderdale.  From there I started on my own in 2007.  Working out of my garage I made a good living.  I always knew I wanted something big.  After a divorce, I took a break from the canvas business.  I went to work selling cars for a few years.  That taught me how to interact with customers (happy and upset customers) as well as how to steer their interests down the path I intend for them (we all know sometimes they don't know what they want).  Then in December of 2014, fate would intervene.  I lost my job selling cars and decided I wanted to go back to doing what I loved.  I started Custom Canvas and Cushions in January of 2015.  It began just myself and I got very busy very quickly.  I hired one and trained them, then another and another.  We have been as many as 15, but generally keep a core of around 10 people.  I pride myself in my reputation in my area and have great relationships with many private boaters as well as Captains of Superyachts and marinas.

My objective is to teach methods, tips, and tricks that I have learned through my experience over the years.  I believe passing on what knowledge  I have obtained is crucial to the health and prosperity of the industry
